Training & Agistment

Please carefully read the below terms as it is your responsibility to be fully aware of your obligations when arriving at Rangeview Farm.

Please take specific note of the terms in the Non Disclosure Agreement

  • I am fully aware and fully understand that all horses are unpredictable and dangerous. I realise that placing my children, or myself in a barn environment is creating a hazardous situation.

    I understand that riding horses is a dangerous sport. I am aware that riders must expect to be injured from time to time. I understand that death from equestrian accidents is possible.

    I realise that professional instruction cannot prevent serious injury or death from working around, handling, or riding horses and ponies.

    I understand that jumping horses is a particularly dangerous activity and that serious injury or death of riders or horses is possible.

    I am aware that serious injury or death of my mount is possible when it is handled, trained, or in a lesson.

    I release Rangeview Farm , its owners, trainers, and employees from all liability for damage to my property, injuries or death of my children, my animals, or myself.

    Rangeview Farm, its owners, employees, and associates, have my permission to initiate emergency first aid treatment for my children, my animals, and myself in case of an accident. They also have my permission to authorise emergency medical treatment by qualified medical personnel for my children or myself, and veterinary treatment by qualified veteri- nary personnel for my animals.

    I understand that I am fully responsible for any guests that I may bring onto the property. I understand that I am respon- sible for informing the guest of all risks related to the handling or riding of horses.

    I understand that I must wear an Australian Standard Approved safety helmet when mounted, and the correct footwear at all times.

    I will read and follow all signs on the property and follow all instructions given by Rangeview Farm and/or its personnel.

    I understand that by ticking the box below constitutes a complete and unconditional release of all liability of Rangeview Equestrian, its successors and assigns, and/or the Personnel to the greatest extent allowed by law in the event that I suffer any property damage, injury or death.


    I have had sufficient opportunity to read this release and waiver of liability and assumption of risk agreement, fully understand its terms and sign it freely and voluntarily without inducement of any kind.

  • For the purpose of this Engagement Agreement, Rangeview Farm Equestrian and it’s employees and associates are herein referred to as ‘The Trainer’ and the horse’s owner or agent is herein referred to as ‘The Owner’.

    Whereby the Trainer agrees to agist, produce, train and or sell the Owner’s horse or horses identified below (“the horse/s”) at Rangeview Farm, on the conditions set out below.

    GENERAL TERMS

    • The horse is under the care of Rangeview Farm Equestrian at the Owner’s risk at all times. It is the Owner’s responsibility to insure the horse/s against all risks while they are at Rangeview Farm or being transported to and from the property. The Trainer shall not be responsible for any disease, accident, illness or injury howsoever caused or arising to the horse/s whilst transporting to or from the property, or at the property.

    • The Owner must notify the Trainer immediately if the Owner becomes aware that the horse suffers or has been in contact with any significant or notifiable sickness, disease or injury.

    • The Owner gives the Trainer a lien over the horse/s for payment of the agistment and training fees and all other charges and expenses which the Owner must pay under this Agreement. This means that the Owner may not remove the horse/s from the property while any part of this Agreement is NOT fulfilled.

    • On arrival, your horse will be wormed, vaccinated (at your expense) and a photo taken for identity and condition purposes.

    • You are welcome to come and see your horse by arrangement ONLY. Rangeview will supply updates in the form of texts, emails and/or photos/ videos.

    • The cost of entry fees and show/ event charges (as charged by an organising committee) will be on-charged to ‘The Owner’s’ monthly invoice.

    • Any prize money won under AUD$500 will be retained by ‘The Trainer’. Prize money over $500 will be split 50/50 and credited against ‘The Owner’s’ monthly invoice. Other materialistic prizes (rugs, ribbons, feed, vouchers etc) will be retained by ‘The Trainer’ unless otherwise agreed.

    • The Trainer may sell the horse/s at public auction or by private sale, to recover any monies unpaid for 60 days after the Trainer has sent the account.

      SALES TERMS

    • The Owner irrevocably appoints the Trainer as the Owner’s attorney with the power to sell the horse/s and to sign all transfers and other documents and do everything necessary to effect and complete the sale and to receive the purchase price and credit it towards the costs of sale and all monies owing.

    • The Owner and the Trainer will agree on a purchase price to be deposited into the Owner’s nominated bank account. The Owner understands that while it is the Trainer’s best intention to achieve this agreed amount, a normal sales process may mean a price negotiation at time of sale.

  • The below terms are in place to protect all stakeholders involved with Rangeview Farm:

    All activity (including conversations, training methods, lessons, sales trial appointments, general farm activities and any other form of horse interaction including but not limited to the above) are not to be discussed with unauthorised parties.

    Digital imagery (photos or videos) featuring horses, people, vehicles and other assets which are not belonging to you are not to be shared or distributed as it is a breach of privacy.

  • If yourself or any people attending have experienced any of the below symptoms within the past 7 days you are not permitted to enter the property:

    Fever, chills, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, headache, muscle or joint pains, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, loss of smell or loss of taste.
