Saskia Hind

SASKIA IS A YOUNG EVENTER & AWARD WINNING GROOM

Having started riding at ___ years old, Saskia has since developed a career that has taken her riding at Australia's most elite events in Australia's eastern and southern states. Like many riders, Saskia started her competition beginnings in Pony Club and eventually progressed into Interschool - here, she represented both Pony Club and IQ at a state and national level multiple times. Saskia competed at Melbourne International Three Day Event and the Australian International Three Day Event (Adelaide) whilst a junior eventer on her longtime partner Sunshine Boy. Along with riding her horse Trojan Warrior (Wazza), Saskia grooms for Matt Gaske at home and events.

After having completed a very successful first season on Wazza, Saskia was awarded Queensland's Horse and Rider of the Year and the Mark Myers Memorial QLD Senior Rider of the Year awards at the 2021 Eventing Queensland Awards. She, along with Wazza, are members of the Eventing Queensland 'Futures' 2022 Squad.
